TRM-200 digital overload protection relays are designed to protect loads from damage caused by high currents while simultaneously enabling operation monitoring.

Device usage and operating principle

1. Connect the device according to the wiring diagram.
2. After completing the connection, turn on the power supply. When powered on, the display displays the set values for 5 seconds.
3. Use the "A>" regulator to set the overcurrent value. The set value is displayed on left display.
4. Use the "t" regulator to set the delay time. The set value is also shown on the left display.

When the device is switched on:
• The relay switches on, the output contact switches to terminal 3, and the the OUT indicator.
• If the current exceeds the set overcurrent value (A>), the device starts counts down the delay time and the ERR indicator lights up.
• After the set time expires, the relay switches off, the contact switches to terminal 1 and the OUT indicator turns off.

Description

The TRM-200 series electronic current relay is designed for automatic disconnection of consumers when the maximum allowable current is exceeded.
It has a programmable trip range, adjustable delay time, and reset time.
There are 3 available modes to return to operational state — MANUAL, SEMI-AUTOMATIC, AUTOMATIC.

Reset Modes:

• Manual mode: After an overcurrent fault, it is necessary to reset the device by pressing the Reset button. In this mode, the indicator lights up the corresponding LED lamp.
• Semi-automatic mode: The system automatically resets after an overcurrent fault three times, then waits for manual reset at the next fault. In this mode, the corresponding LED lamp lights up. the corresponding LED lamp.
• Automatic mode: The system automatically resets after each overcurrent fault. In this mode, the corresponding LED lamp lights up.

Note: To change the mode, hold the SELECT button 10 seconds. After changing the mode, the corresponding LED lamp will light up.

Asymmetry 50% (fixed)

If the difference between the highest and lowest phase current exceeds 50%, the device switches to fault mode within 2 seconds asymmetry.
(This prevents system damage during motor operation in case of failure one phase.)

In case of asymmetry fault:
• The display group of the two phases that caused the fault starts blinking and The ERR indicator lights up.
• To return from asymmetry fault mode, the device must be reset manually.
