The RGM-12S reactive power control relay is designed to reduce inductive reactive power that is not used in the load, but is taken from the network. When inductive reactive power is taken from the network, it reacts by activating a capacitor of the appropriate value. In this way, it tries to bring the Cos phi value to the desired level.
